Job Description

The Research Assistant (RA) will be responsible for developing an in silico molecular docking workflow to investigate how small molecules interact with a certain category of proteins. The RA will be involved in performing a literature review to obtain a suitable list of proteins and their structures. Furthermore, the RA will be required to develop a web-based system to automate the docking on a high-performance cluster and to provide the analysis and results through a user-friendly database driven website.

The RA is expected to have a master's degree in bioinformatics and should be familiar with molecular biology, computational biology, molecular docking, molecular dynamics, Linux/Unix environment, and web/database programming. The RA is required to have at least 2 years of experience in using Schrodinger's suite of tools. A strong publication record is highly desired. The position is available for a period of 6 months
