Our newest opportunity is for a talented Resident Engineer to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh , Saudi. This position is responsible for the overall construction supervision and administration, reporting directly to our client, whilst ensuring that all construction activity conforms to the plans and provisions set down in the agreed Procedures Manual for the project construction activities .

Responsibilities

We envisage success in this role to include;

- Acting as the senior person on site responsible for the administration of the contract. Lead, direct and monitor the performance of all site engineers and support staff as appropriate
- Monitoring the work of staff members for conformance with all provisions of the Contract Administration Procedures Manual
- Responding with appropriate and necessary levels of construction supervision to provide quality assurance in accordance with Contract Documents
- Advising and assists the Contractor on construction procedures and contractual matters
- Coordinating the construction work with the KAFD, local authorities, and Contractors
- Ensuring prompt exchange of correspondence, submittals, RFI's, and Change Orders to all parties. Maintain correspondence, submittal, RFI, and Change Order logs in accordance with Project Procedures
- Reviewing claims from the contractor and prepares recommendations for the PM. Assist in negotiations with contractors regarding the value of claims or any schedule changes.
- Preparing recommendations to the Project Manager
- Assisting in negotiations with the Contractors regarding the value of claims or changes in schedule
- Receiving and logging all submittals. Distribute according to Project Procedures and track the progress of the submittal review process.
- Preparing final responses to the Contractors at the conclusion of the review process. Alert the contractor and the PM when submittals are behind accepted schedules.
- Preparing responses to the Contractors.
- Ensuring the correctness and completeness of the As-Built drawings
- Preparing weekly and monthly reports, as required for the site record, and/or provides input to supplement reporting by the Sr. Planning Engineer .

Requirements

Qualifications

- To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 20 years work experience partnered with a relevant Bachelor degree in Engineering.
- Professional Membership of an Engineering society is essential
