Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Client will provide onsite Resident Engineer consulting services provided by one (2) Client resources as onsite consultative support as required, which shall comprise technical advice assistance and guidance in the daily operations of the End User’s network in scope only, during normal Business Hours on Business Days, for six (12) consecutive calendar months. The advice and guidance may include assisting Customer in respect of the following tasks and activities:

• Supporting the Customer in DC (UCS, Routing and Switching) and network level problem resolution including troubleshooting on the Client network, for major and critical faults. Following is definition of the critical and major networking faults
• Critical fault: - Disruption in service due to network or Network Element (Node/Module) fault resulting in critical impact on business operations.
• Major fault:- Degradation in the service due to any fault in the network or network element (node/module)causing critical Impact on the business operations
• Coordinating with the Client TAC (Technical Assistance Centre) in order to try and expedite the resolution of the trouble tickets opened with the TAC by the End Customer operations team. This coordination shall be provided using telephone and emails.
• Providing a monthly status report of the faults (major/critical) and improvements on the network, which will be Customer’s responsibility to address. These will include:
• Cause of the network fault
• Remedial Action taken
• High level recommendation to avoid problem recurrence in the future.
• Any recommended improvements for the availability of the network if available. Improvements might include configuration changes, hardware, software or design enhancements
• Attending operational review meetings with the Customer to discuss the network operational issues, as required.
• Providing on the job knowledge transfer services during the support period to the End Customer’s operational team which aims to enhance the End Customer’s troubleshooting skills.

The two resident engineers will stand in for each other during vacations and or leaves to ensure continuous coverage

• Ensure that Client resource do not claim additional hours worked unless expressly agreed by Integrator authorized representative in advance of the additional hours being worked.
• Ensure that each Client resource completes timesheets on a monthly basis and ensure that these are provided to the Integrator authorized representative for signature on a monthly basis.

Requirements

University Qualifications: Information Technology
Nature and length of previous experience: Minimum of 5 years

Specialist knowledge: IT
Soft Skills and Personality traits: good communicator

Language Fluency: English
