Retail Sales Manager - Luxury Jewelry and Watches - Up to 20,000 AED

Our client is a locally based firm that has created a very successful retail concept within the luxury jewelry and watches segment. In 2010, they expanded to include fashion. They have the exclusive retail rights to a selection of international brands and operate stores located in 5 star hotels as well as having a flagship store in the Dubai Mall. With over 60 staff from around the world, they are looking for a dynamic and highly professional individual to drive the retail sales. This role will report into the company COO and will have all the Store Managers reporting into them.

As Retail Sales Manager, your role will be to oversee the retail operations in terms of stock, staff, daily store operations as well as business development. You will liaise with senior management about stock selection and pricing. Training will be a core part of this role, ensuring all staff understand the complexities of selling high-end jewelry and watches. You will also need to develop an incentive system that will motivate the staff and help the company reach its sales objectives. Business development will mainly come from corporate sales outside the showroom. You need to think of potential clients, secure appointments and present the company and products and find a product range that will suit the client's needs. In addition you will also need to assist with VIP sales as and when required. In terms of store operations, you will need to conduct shop floor walks, look at stock displays, general maintenance, store standards and customer service satisfaction levels. In terms of sales, you will need to look at stock levels, sell through, set targets, break the targets down by month and ensure all the team members buy in to the targets. You will be expected to highlight any problems in terms of sales, slow moving items, pricing, staff or general store issues.

Requirements

In order to be considered for this role, you must have excellent communication and presentation skills in English. You will be working with very high-end brands and your appearance should be reflective of that. You should have at least 3 years experience in retail management within the jewelry and watches sector. Our client has requested that all candidates have a university education from a reputable institution. You must have experience of managing a medium sized team, having conducted training, developed incentives and improved sales. As with many retail positions, the hours can be long, our client operates an alternate 5 day and then 6 day week. All candidates must be happy to work that system as it is company standard.
