JOB OVERVIEW
To ensure a smooth and efficient operation in the Maintenance Department in relation to the Company Core Process and Department Policies; thus directly impacting on the maintenance of rides, facilities and attractions.

This position is to ensure all rides, facilities and attractions are maintained at the highest level to ensure the safety of the Guests and team members and present a show of world-class recognition. At the direction of the Maintenance Manager, plan, direct, control and manage assigned responsibilities of the rides, facilities and attractions maintenance.

JOB SCOPE
• Manages a team of Team Leaders and their respective frontline Colleagues to include there on and off the job training, daily attendance, grooming, coaching, appraisals and personal development plans.
• Compiles duty schedules for their area on a monthly basis ensuring that annual leave plans support operational readiness and ensure sufficient time off to Colleagues.
• Plan, book and deliver on and off job training as required to ensure best possible service standards as well as Colleague development.
• Openly communicate appropriate and useful information through various channels to include department meetings and briefings.
• Motivate Colleagues through the effective implementation of incentive and recognition and rewards programs.
• Ensure departmental policies, procedures and performance standards are being implemented and maintained throughout their area.
• Review departmental policies, procedures and performance standards to ensure these are up to date, correct and propose changes as appropriate to ensure high levels of customer service.
• Ensure any service delivery defects are resolved and identify any trends and share observations and suggestions with their Manager.
• Review satisfaction results for their areas and identify any trends and share observations and suggestions with their Manager.
• Review accuracy of any checklists and records completed in their area and analyze.
• Ensure their area meets financial targets as set by their departmental Manager through tracking expenditures and revenue and as appropriate taking action to affect either.
• Coordinate any inventory/stock take activities required in their area ensuring sufficient stock remains on hand at all times and reducing stock loss/wastage.
• Participate in daily operations alongside their Colleagues setting a positive example.
• Foster a harmonious atmosphere among Colleagues in their area and brings team members together through team activities.
• To attend training and development programs in order to promote personal and career growth.
• To deliver job specific training and competency testing to Colleagues or nominate them for training in order to equip them with the necessary skills, knowledge and attitude to perform their job effectively and deliver out of this world experiences.
• To conduct Colleague performance appraisals in a timely, fair and constructive manner in order to promote their personal and career growth.
• To coach and discipline Colleagues in a fair and consistent manner in order to motivate and improve performance.
• To entertain, engage and empower Colleagues in order to reduce turnover and increase retention.
• To be a positive, consistent and fair role model at all times, ensuring high standards of practice are maintained while motivating, influencing and supporting others to accomplish personal, Department and Company goals.
• To communicate relevant information with Colleagues in order to improve internal communication within the Department and Company.
• To understand, follow and enforce all Farah Leisure Standard Operating Procedures in order to exceed the operational requirements and ensure Guests receive the highest standards of quality and service at all times.
• To help achieve Department and Company objectives, action plans and key performance indicators in order to support the Company Balanced Scorecard approach in achieving the Executive Strategic Plan.
• To enforce and adhere to all UAE laws, Health, Safety & Environmental policies, industry and company rules and regulations, reporting any safety concerns or incidents to management in order to minimize risk and maintain a clean safe and hygienic environment for all Guests and Colleagues.
• To manage emergency situations that may arise in order to minimize possible damage, loss or injury to any Guests, Colleagues or Company property.
• To schedule, break and if required, rotate Colleagues fairly in order to increase productivity and maintain their wellbeing.
• Any other related duties as assigned by the department.

Requirements

• Related technical qualification.
• 2-3 years of experience in maintenance field in supervisory role.
• 3-5 years of experience in maintenance field.
• Very good English speaking/writing abilities
• Intermediate to advance knowledge of computer software e.g. Microsoft Office
• Knowledge of Maximo or similar CMMS software.
• Physical fitness

To be expert in at least one of the following fields:
• Electrical
• Mechanical

Desirable:
• Technical/Engineering degree or diploma.
• Technical education in vocational training institute (2+ years).
• Degree in any electrical, mechanical or electro-mechanical course.
• Minimum of 3-5 years ride-related experience in a Theme Park or Amusement Industry maintaining rides & attractions.
• 2-3 years of supervisory experience (Maintenance) in theme park or industrial environment.
