Due to their expansion in the Middle East region's insurance sector we are looking to find for our client an experienced, senior Risk and Compliance Manager who has a thoroughly detailed hands on experience of the Life Insurance market across the GCC. This experience is critical so only applicants with this background should apply.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements of the role include but are not limited to the following:
• The role reports directly to the Compliance Director in Europe but will be part of the growing Dubai based team in DIFC
• A deep understanding of the GCC Regions regulations in the Life Insurance sector will be vital as the successful candidate will be responsible for launching into new areas as well as maximising on existing business.
• Oman right now is of particular importance to our client so experience in this market would be regarded very favourably
• This is a senior appointment that will need a credible personality as they will be the "face" of the company to its major clients.
• This is an "on the ground" position with overall accountability for what and how the company reports to its clients.
• Support the use of the CIBS Risk management Framework and Protivity system across the business in accordance with Divisional and Group requirements, including training and guidance where appropriate
• Risk Registers, Asset Management and evaluation of risk via workshops interviews and questionnaires will all be integral to this role.
• Effective governance arrangements, the recording of any actual or attempted frauds and any incidents or losses within the business unit in line with Incident Management Procedures

Requirements

• The capability to liaise with clients at all levels including board level
• Must be highly client focused but with a strong business perspective
• An outgoing personality, with quality presentation skills and the drive to manage all situations will be required and tested at interview stage.
• Only proactive team members need apply. This is not a role for the "Lone Ranger"
• The ideal candidate will have a passion for outsourcing and will work vigorously but fairly
• They must be adaptable (no Pima Donnas please), respectful and thrive in a flat management structure with an open door policy and an environment where asking questions is encouraged.
• Experience in a multinational environment although not vital will be highly regarded
• The ability to speak Arabic again is a very good plus point but is perhaps not essential providing the candidates other attributes are outstanding.

This is a senior role; it is challenging, rewarding and will be fulfilling but our client knows exactly the type of person they need so the interviews will be stringent and detailed.
