Rotating Engineer, Offshore Project, Long term contract, U.A.E

Job Scope:
- One of the ADNOC group are currently searching for an experienced Rotating Engineer to provide specialist technical support to the site maintenance teams appertaining to rotating machinery field.
- Responsible for the timely, safe, cost effective achievement of plant machinery reliability and availability targets as directed by Maintenance policy and in line with all applicable industry standards, codes and practices.
- Plan, direct, coordinate and assist in the sites rotating machinery maintenance activities.

Duties Include:
- Carry out support of Rotating Equipment on site.
- Direct and follow-up the rotating machinery repair and maintenance activities for all categories of rotating machinery (the site, local workshops and vendor overhaul facilities abroad, as applicable).
- Participates in preparations, implementations and review plant /equipment regular appraisal studies and optimize plans accordingly.
- Provide technical input to the decision- making process for major/strategic decisions affecting the selection and procurement of major machinery equipment.
- Provides technical advice during projects execution phases.
- Ensure technical standards are followed in the department/operation as appropriate to the discipline.
- Provide technical oversight of the major machinery selection and operations procedures to ensure compliance with integrity standards and business objectives.
- Specification and selection of various machinery equipment (pumps, turbine, compressors, seals, bearing , couplings etc) for procurement purpose.
- Participates in the preparations of budgets/ Maintenance programs for the 5 year Business / Operating plans.
- Prepare reviews and approves requisitions for materials and services related to Rotating Equipment.
- Participates with Major project Teams in the selection and specification of Rotating Equipment and new installation.
- Support onshore/offshore teams in resolution of machinery related problems.
- Troubleshoot plant machinery problems; conduct root cause analysis and recommend solutions/ mitigations measures.
- Participate in implementation/follow-up of equipment condition monitoring systems.
- Establish and maintain comprehensive major machinery maintenance records.
- Participate/ Prepare component/equipment repair procedures as applicable in line with best practices.

Requirements

- BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- Ten (10) years' experience in O&G industry (plant rotating machinery maintenance)
- Good troubleshooting & Analytical capabilities. Good problem solving, decision making and analytical skill with attention to details
- Good knowledge & experience in various NDT & condition Monitoring techniques (vibration survey/ analysis, tribology, etc..).
- Proficiency in English Language (Spoken and Written).
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Effective computer skills; Microsoft Office software, and other Company and discipline specific software applications
- Working knowledge of International Codes and Standards.
