Job description / Role

A sales assistant’s job description, including their routine daily duties:
• Greeting customers who enter the shop.
• Be involved in stock control and management.
• Assisting shoppers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
• Being responsible for processing cash and card payments.
• Stocking shelves with merchandise.
• Answering queries from customers.
• Reporting discrepancies and problems to the supervisor.
• Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
• Balancing cash registers with receipts.
• Dealing with customer return& exchange.
• Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes hovering and mopping.
• Responsible dealing with customer complaints.
• Working within established guidelines, particularly with brands.
• Attaching barcode tags to merchandise on the shop floor.
• Responsible for security within the store and being on the lookout for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
• Receiving and storing the delivery of stock
• Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays.

Responsibilities:
• A sales floor associate helps customers locate store merchandise, and the associate has actual knowledge of product aspects and the usefulness of the product. Similarly, the sales associate has knowledge of any promotions and advertisements. Many stores require the sales floor associates to initiate communication with the customer. The sales associate is responsible for helping keep the store neat and orderly, and often returns merchandise to its correct location and helps maintain the store displays.
• Drives sales and achieves sales target through delivery of excellent customer service and in depth product knowledge
• Adheres to company procedures
• Maintains excellent retail standards

Requirements

• Any National
• Experience: 2-3 Years’ experience in SALES.

• Having a friendly and engaging personality.
• Comfortable working with members of the public.
• Should have a confident manner.
• Must be helpful and polite.
• Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
• Able to work as part of a sales team.
• Knowledge of inventory techniques.
• Should be of a smart appearance and articulate.

Job skills/requirements:
• Outgoing and friendly personality: You are the face of the store, and first impressions can make or break a customer’s experience. Whether you’re greeting customers as they enter the store or you’re checking them out at the register, a kind and courteous demeanor is the rule.
• Patience: This isn’t a job for slackers. Eight hours on your feet folding, sorting, helping and chatting can take a physical and mental toll. You will work with customers who need different clothing sizes, colors, washes, fits and patterns; and their personalities will vary just as much. Your job is to help them find what they need.
• Organization: At Nest store’s inventory needs to be sorted by size, color, brand, sale items, etc. And you need to know where everything is.
• Cash handling: Counting the float before starting the shift, proper hand over before handling the cash to your colleague. The cash should balance with the xreport and zreport at the end of the shift.
