Employment: Full Time

Our client, an organisation focusing in the manufacture of equipment for the Steel/Steel Cutting/ Steel Mill industry are currently looking to hire a 'Sales Director' to be based in their Dubai office.

Role Purpose
Reporting to the MD of the organisation, this role will drive profitable organic growth for the region, through development of the sales strategy and implementation of initiatives across the regional remit. The Sales Director is responsible for the sales, growth and margin targets for the business, as well as the management of the sales team. The individual would also be required to translate and deliver the regional strategic plan to local needs while meeting sales targets for the region.

This role holds a place on the Senior Management Team of the Middle East

Responsibilities
* Realisation of annual budgeted plan while also delivering the regional business plan
* Lead the implementation of new market opportunities and incorporation into regional business plan
* Develop the market and identify new opportunities
* Deliver the regional business plan
* Deliver regional distributor/agent strategies
* Management of regional sales activity
* Manage CRM system
* Realisation of annual budgeted plan and long term business plan
* Optimise pricing and product exposure to market
* Development of sales network structure
* Translation of country Business Plan objectives into regional objectives
* Development of regional sales network organisation strategies
* Development of key personnel
* Develop and manage forecast systems
* Provide market information to management team
* Accountability for distributor contract management
* Develop & Coach the Sales Team talent
* Attract and retain talents to support strategic delivery
* Encourage CBS tools & deploy a value selling culture

Key Relationships
* Senior Management Team, Regional Sales Directors, Global Management Team

Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess the following;

* Strong technical knowledge, engineering background
* Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
* Exposure to industries related to Steel Mill and Automation
* Strong networking abilities to build new and on existing distribution networks
* Must be degree educated, the successful candidate must have his/her degree attested for on-boarding formalities
* Strong cultural awareness
* Somebody who has been exposed to other cities/cultures
* Someone willing to be hands on and travel frequently to familiarise themselves with the territory under his/her remit
* Arabic will be an advantage
* Western Educated

Knowledge and Experience
* Minimum 10 years' experience in Sales and at least 6 years in a senior management role.
* Experience and understanding of Financial/Sales figures.
* Experience in the Steel/Steel Cutting/ Steel Mill industry is required, other related industry background will also be considered.
* Strong Management skills
* Strong interpersonal skills, good negotiators and have experience of managing and developing staff.
* Entrepreneurial skills (mind set)

Education and Professional Qualifications
* Engineering degree and/or relevant professional experience
* Proven experience in people management
* Technology knowledgeable
