ROLE: Sales Manager (Mandarin Speaker)

WHAT WE EXPECT OF YOU:

- To be familiar with hotel products, rates, and promotions at all times. Maintain up-to-date understanding of company products and rates and involvement in cross-selling of these when required
- Be aware of the strengths and weaknesses of all competing hotels and provide weekly regular updates on market insights and trends
- Represent the hotel at trade fairs, functions, and other related events as directed.
- Participate in hotel activities including promotions, sales blitzes, entertainment, and other operational areas as directed.
- Penetrate and saturate prospective and existing clients, and partners for effective multi-department selling.
- Service needs of customers by attending to all requests promptly within 24 hours.
- Assist the Regional DOS in pursuing new market segments to secure sales and prepare proposals and agreements
- Develop strong, secure, and productive business relations with all partners within the portfolio under the geographic / market segment allocated.
- Positive communication of the hotel image to existing and potential customers at all times.
- Ensure that revenues and/or cost controls are maximized through proactive actions rather than reactive management.
- Handle inquiries courteously and efficiently as per Hotel /Ennismore standards.
- Maximize occupancy and average rate of the hotel through creative and selective selling.
- Accurately send reports on confirmed businesses and forecasted opportunities. Regularly share the Sales action plans to Regional DOS to maximize the revenue and market share for the property.
- Budget, plan, and execute cost-effective and productive sales trips at least 45 days prior to the traveling date.
- Maintain a calendar allowing you to meet all established deadlines and planned sales trips. Regular deadlines include (but are not limited to) the monthly forecast and expect-to-turn reports.
- Maintain accurate information on all new and ongoing leads and accounts, including solicitation efforts. Maintain database of existing and new partners from all encounters, during sales calls, business trips, etc.
- Plan and execute cost-effective and productive sales trips into your assigned territory, to improve and increase our penetration of that market.
- Organise fam trips, site inspections, and entertainment as per the given market and as per Hotel standards.
- Ensures that all incoming correspondence (inquiries, requests, offers, confirmations, etc.) are attended to and replied to in due time.
- Establishes a Monthly Report that includes the summary of past activities, prospection, and trends, and analyses competitor's sales and promotion efforts, forecast for all sales activities & production/conversion figures. Attends once a month hotel's Sales/Rooms Division
- Targets to achieve the highest revenue from key accounts / key markets through preparation and execution of proper action plans for his/her field of responsibility.
- Establishes and signs contracts considering the official Rate Policy in coordination with the Regional DOS.
- Conducts rate market surveys to advise management of actual market trends.
- Special deals (out of guidelines and rate policy) must in any case be discussed, coordinated, and approved prior to offer with the hotel's management.
- He/she is familiar with all related company documentation and especially with the relevant Operational Standards Manual for his/her field of responsibility.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Perform duties in a manner that respects Rixos Hotels & Resorts' Core Behaviours which are Trust, Relationship, Entrepreneurship, and Drive.
- Assist in Task Force Teams for new openings.
- Carry out any other reasonable task (which may not be stated here) as requested.

Requirements

Qualifications

- Minimum of 2 -3 years' experience in the Hotel sales department. Preferably in the leisure segment.
- Must be fluent in the Mandarin language (read, write, and speak).
- Must have a valid UAE driving license
