Job description / Role
The Sales Manager will focus on sales of diesel engine services to the MENA region, with a particular focus on the maritime industry. The role will be based in Dubai, UAE- operating from my clients regional offices. You'll have the full support of an established workshop, service, applications and business development team as well as a number of technical department heads. The clientele you'll be inheriting ranges from ship builders, maritime operating companies and oil and gas companies, to power generation clients. It's important to note that whilst this role WILL have some remit in power generation, the client isn't looking for someone with a generator (IE high speed engine) focus.
The ideal candidate will come from a similar service provider or OEM within the maritime diesel market, or have prior experience in a hands on role with either the merchant navy or a ship builder, coupled with several years of sales experience. You'll have spent at least 8 years in a sales role, with a proven track record of service sales preferably in the Middle East market. You'll hold either a degree in an engineering or economics subject, or have served an apprenticeship with proven engineering experience.
