Job description / Role
• Conducts regular business meetings with dealers to ensure wholesale goals and appropriate display
• Develops, coordinates, and conducts sell-in presentations for new/existing products, events, programs
• Assists dealers in establishing wholesale and retail goals, creating market demand within their territories, selling in proper stocking of product, and developing and implementing retail sales plans
• Drives dealer profitability; encourages dealers to participate in all service schools, programs and sales training opportunities
• Assists dealers in showroom set-up, including wall merchandising and display of machines
• Sell-in and monitors branding requirements
• Assists in planning & set-up and participates in marketing shows, dealer shows, exhibits and displays
• Identifies and prioritizes open points; conducts market output analysis and selects markets
• Identifies business improvement opportunities and sells into dealers
• Manages administrative reporting and analysis needed by management to monitor district performance
• Promotes financially stable dealer network and responds to dealer needs
• Reports problems, status, and attitudes of dealer network to management
• Conducts product demos for prospective customers and dealers
• Evaluates and ranks multiple prospects in the dealer selection process, makes recommendations to management
• Understand how to create dealer awareness around local market opportunities through provided tools and dealer extranet website
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree
• 3-5 years field sales and retail sales experience with proven track record required
• 3-5 years experience at a Managerial or Supervisory position
• 3-5 years sales administration, distribution and customer service experience required
• An understanding, appreciation and passion for motorcycle preferred
• Proficient in all MS Office software suite
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
