Job description / Role
Our school is seeking to appoint a Head of Department: English, Maths and Science, Art and P.E. As the Head of Department you will hold key leadership and management responsibilities within the department structure. You will be the lead manager for academic provision and share responsibility for achieving key performance targets.
The successful candidate will Must be a native English speaker with teaching experience in an English speaking country. The incumbent will have substantial experience as a Head of Department within a school of comparable size and complexity and have a substantial record of achievement as an academic covering teaching, research and professional practice in a relevant subject area.
Requirements
• University Degree in Education or an Educational University Degree
• 2- years experience as an HOD
• 5- years experience in the field of teaching the subject itself

• Have a genuine passion for teaching and learning with high expectations for both staff and children
• Commit to ensure that every child reaches their potential
• Maintain and drive high standards and excellence through out Diyar International Private School-Fujairah
• Have excellent communication, management and inter-personal skills and will relate equally well to pupils, parents and staff
