Reporting directly to the Global Head of Operations, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee the accounts for several companies within their international portfolio. They are in the process of restructuring the finance department to streamline their reporting functions and facilitate the implementation of a new system.
The major function of this role is to produce the region's financial management information and understand how the region is performing against budgets and objectives. Key responsibilities include; preparing the annual budget with the finance team and in liaision with the Global Head of Operations, managing the P&L, working on cash flow projections and profitability analysis, as well as overseeing the audit, producing monthly payroll reports. Further responsibilities; encompass managing administration and production of reports to support the management of the region's working capital and the delivery of year end management accounts, as well as regularly undertaking ad hoc revenue analysis.
Our client is specifically seeking a Western educational background and candidates must have prior experience of the UAE VAT system. Candidates MUST hold a CMA Level 1 or Level 2 to be considered for this position. The successful applicant will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively at all levels (particularly at Management level). You will need to have good management skills and be able to work under pressure and adapt to an entrepreneurial environment. Additionally, the successful candidate will have good commercial sense and be highly competent in using Sage 50 Middle East, MS Excel (advanced) and additional financial IT applications.
