Job description / Role
Position is based in Abu Dhabi/Dubai and a certain amount of traveling is required.
Reports to: Vice President, Head of Region
The job contract starts with a two year contract with an option for an extended contract period.
Your main responsibilities are:
- Promoting Finnish exports, foreign direct investments to Finland and Visit Finland activities
- Advising and guiding Finnish SMEs in their internationalization plans, actions and possible challenges
- Identifying business opportunities and sales leads for Finnish companies in the area
- Identifying investors interested in investing in Finland
Requirements
- Good understanding and knowledge of business environment in the Gulf area
- Good local networks with the local business communities as well as stakeholders and government bodies
- Solid experience in multiple industries particularly Life Sciences, Education, Green technology, Food and ICT
- Understanding and having contacts to potential investors in the Gulf area
- Good understanding of the business culture in the area
- Advisory and Analytical type of approach
- Social personality with outstanding networking abilities
- Fluent in English; Finnish and/or Arabic is an advantage
Competencies and Experience:
- Strong experience particularly in Life Science, Cleantech or ICT
- Living and working experience in the area with established networks and understanding of the business life as well as the local culture
- Preferably Team Finland experience
- Suitable university degree
- SME experience (business development/sales / P&L)
- Project management skills
