Job description / Role
Responsibilities:
• The engineering and construction team works on building, engineering, utilities, transportation, infrastructure and real estate development projects, and associated dispute resolution. Our client offers a full range of construction law advice, from procurement planning, contract negotiation and drafting through to strategic advice during construction, claims settlement and beyond.
• Successfully resolving complex domestic and cross-border construction disputes.
• Provide swift advice that is commercially sound, based on deep experience and industry know-how, with a view to reaching efficient and effective solutions.
• Services include advising on labour agreements, construction insurance policies, performance bonds and parent company guarantees, and representations in connection with regulatory matters affecting the design, development and construction process.
• Act for clients across the whole sector active in the Middle East, including developers, government agencies, contractors, oil and gas multinationals, consulting firms and project lenders.
Requirements
• 5 year’s experience in construction law
• Contentious Construction experience
• Should have Middle East experience (compulsory) and preferably UAE experience
• Common law qualified
• Mandarin language fluency would be particularly advantageous given that China is now core to our strategy.
