Senior Associate - Project Development and Finance - International Law Firm

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Associate to join our prestigious international law firm in UAE.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project development and finance, with a focus on the legal aspects of international projects.

Responsibilities:
- Provide legal advice and support on project development and finance matters, with a particular focus on international projects in the UAE region.
- Assist in the drafting, reviewing, and negotiation of project agreements, financing documents, and related legal documentation.
- Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with local and international laws and regulations.
- Participate in due diligence processes, risk assessment, and project structuring activities.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including clients, government authorities, and other legal counsels, to facilitate project development and financing transactions.
- Provide strategic advice and support to clients on project-related legal issues and potential risks.
- Contribute to business development efforts, including client pitches, proposal drafting, and networking activities.
- Mentor and supervise junior team members, providing guidance and support as needed.

Salary:
AED 55,000 to 70,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Admitted in a recognised common law jurisdiction.
- Qualified lawyer with a strong background in project development and finance, with a minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in an international law firm or reputable legal practice.
- Solid understanding of project finance structures, loan agreements, security documents, and related legal frameworks.
- Proven track record of handling complex international projects, with exposure to the UAE market being a distinct advantage.
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, with the ability to communicate complex legal concepts effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
- Team player with leadership qualities, capable of mentoring and developing junior team members.
- Fluency in English is essential, and proficiency in Arabic or other languages is a plus.

About the Company

Executive search involves working with a third party, such as JEX Personnel.

Executive search is relationship driven. JEX Personnel will work closely with you to understand the requirements of the role. It is a research-led approach, meaning a search firm will be paid a retainer fee upfront to carry out analyse the marketplace and benchmark for skills/roles and salaries.
