Job description / Role
Wood is currently looking for a Senior Civil/Structural Engineer to join our team in Dubai, UAE.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Specialist Engineer in Engineering Design & Detailing of Civil & Structural works of Oil and Gas projects
- Must have hands-on experience in design of rotating equipment/dynamic foundation
- Experience in developing specification and design basis
- Ensure that designs comply with the relevant Codes (specially American codes), Standards, Regulations andProcedures
- Must have worked in STAAD / Foundation Design Suite software in Analysis & Design
- Hands on experience on model review in Navisworks/SP3D / E3D / PDS / PDMS platform is must
- Experience on preparation of the Design calculation through XL spread sheet will be plus point
- Achieve safety standards as defined in personal performance contract
- Be responsible for assessing effectiveness of working practices and systems with a view to continuouslyimproving systems, personal and team performance
- Carry out work in accordance with Wood and project Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems
- Maintain the required technical quality of work
- Identify scope and schedule changes in accordance with the Change Control Process
- Maintain planning and cost control on all scopes
- Provide technical assistance to discipline assigned personnel as required
- Ensure, as far as practically possible, that all assigned work is carried out in compliance with the agreed budgetand schedule
- Keep up to date with technical developments, National and International standards and legislative requirementsrelated to the discipline scope
- Review, prepare, check and / or approve work output of discipline assigned personnel
- Prepare estimates and schedules and assist in their review
- Maintain good communication with the client
- Maintain discipline filing system
- Encourage and provide lateral learning within the project
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS
- Must hold a degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
- Should have a Minimum 10 years post graduate experience in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Middle East Experience is preferred
- Must have worked in an Engineering or Consultancy company
