Job description / Role
Our client is a leading consultancy, they have an urgent requirement for a Commercial expert to join their team and consult on their various rail projects across the MENA region. Candidates for this role will be from a construction rail background and have worked in senior commercial positions with leading consultancies and will be able to advise on and solve problems in a strategic manner. This role will require the candidate to be based from home and travel ten days out of the month to projects that require your assistance.
Responsibilities
• Consult the commercial teams to ensure commercial delivery of various rail project
• Risk management to procurement, financial reporting and managing the supply chain.
• Financial management of projects, budget and cost control for the overall programme
• Claims Management – review, identify and track causes, check validity, assess time and cost impacts and make recommendations to the client
• Contract Management and Administration including the supervision, review, monitoring, evaluation and reporting on all consultant and contractor contracts
• Among the qualities such individuals must possess are strong commercial awareness, strong client liaison skills, project management and team leadership. They also need an extensive understanding of the construction industry, flexibility and a talent for negotiation
Salary:
USD
15,000
per month inclusive of fixed allowances.
Requirements
Qualifications, Experience & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Civil Engineering is essential
• Must have MRICS
• Must have a minimum of 20 years’ experience
• Experience working in a client facing role
• Experience in working on large mix use developments as a Commercial Manager
• Must understand FIDIC contracts
