Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Management responsibility for:

Prime Contractor Oversight -
Support and work collaboratively with Commercial team to integrate and streamline Change Management with Claims Management;
Develop, maintain and implement work processes and associated tools to support effective commercial administration of the Prime Contract;
Administer and negotiate Change to Prime Contract effectively to ensure continuous update is provided;;
Support the Prime Contract Management team to ensure accountabilities and activities are performed in an effective manner;
Facilitate communication both internally and externally in order to build and nurture mutually beneficial working relationships;
Develop and maintain Prime Contract commercial management procedures and ensure integration with Prime Contracts processes and those of client organisation.
Change Management -
Minimise exposure to changes to Prime Contract by applying correct provisions;
Negotiate and timely agreement of Changes in order to minimise conflict;
Ensure relevant internal procedures are adhered to;
Ensure appropriate approvals are obtained to satisfy clients Delegation of Authority levels;
Ability to independently analysis and negotiate Changes with Contractor and internal subject matter experts.
Commercial Risk Management (Claims) -
Ensure cost, time and risk issues are being commercially controlled;
Ensure client commercial interests are best protected by minimising potential for conflicts arising;
Ensure defence mechanisms are in place to minimise risk of claims and disputes being pursued by Contractor;
Liaise with claims subject matter experts on contentious issues.

Requirements

Requirements:
Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management or similar;
Chartered member of recognised professional institution such as RICS, CIOB , ICE or CIArb;
Minimum of 10 years post degree experience, of which 4+ years working within commercial / contract management teams on major energy projects;
Client facing, possesses clear and articulate communication skills and able to hold their own with various stakeholders;
Self-starter able to think creatively in order to achieve the positions goals and deliverables;
Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills;
Possess good project background and proven English language technical writing ability and skill;
