Employment: Full Time

Wood is presently looking to hire a Senior Contracts Engineer to be based at Dubai Petroleum's office based in Dubai . Below are more details about the position.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Independently manage the full sourcing process from strategy development and implementation up to award of contracts, including evaluating strategies, compiling bidders' list, developing appropriate tender documents, issuing of Invitation to Tender (ITT), analysis of tenders, commercial evaluation, contract negotiations and the preparation of contractual documentation in line with Company procedures and standards
- Liaise with the technical team to review, manage, and execute contract changes, variations and claims as part of post award contract administration
- Develop and execute post award contract performance management in conjunction with department managers and users
- Identify areas of improvement in contracts management and participate in regular meetings with vendors and users in order to keep track of all the processes and drive improvement
- Extensive experience in the preparation and negotiation of tenders / contracts of large scale onshore EPC projects with complexity and diversity

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree required; Law degree strongly preferred
- Ideally with a post-graduate qualification in Contract Management or in a complementary area

Competencies/Skills/Other Requirements:
- Demonstrates a high standard of ethical behaviour
- Firm negotiator with good knowledge of contract laws and industry practices especially in relation to oil and gas EPC contract terms and conditions
- Excellent understanding of contract and legal terms
- Sound commercial and technical knowledge
- High attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- Self-directed, highly motivated and customer service oriented
- Capable of respecting the rules and governance
- Demonstrate a high level of commercial and technical knowledge
- Highly effective interpersonal skills with excellent oral and written English communication skills
- Computer literate, working knowledge of Microsoft office packages essential, working knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) commercial modules desirable
