Job description / Role
• Define and ensure the implementation of management control procedures and tools (management charts, performance indicators, information systems)
• Prepare, analyse and distribute all relevant management information serving as decisional aids
• Define, follow-up and control budget items
• Analyse the evolution of results against objectives, identify the causes of deviation and recommend improvements
• Contribute to firmly establish management control and develop a “cost control” culture Ativities
Budget:
• Budget exercises and regular Closing Forecasts - Section Meetings, Consolidation/Presentation to CEO, SVP & Managers
Cost Control:
• Control, validate and amend when necessary, the accuracy of invoices - clearing Web Cycle invoices
• Participate on the weekly progress meeting reporting to Section Manager
Monthly Closing and Reporting:
• To assist in preparing final report to HQ for Budget
• To prepare budget variance comments in issuing Budget booklet
Department Specifics:
• Acquire Manpower Plan (MPP) from Human Resources Department (HRD), update Consolidated Personnel File to get Man-year, Update Personnel Database and Provide List for payroll officer to arrive at Personnel Budget on All Categories and All Departments – For Budget as well as for Closing Forecasts
Audit & Yearend Closing:
• GR/IR clearing of outstanding invoices checking in respective departments
Accountabilities:
• Monthly Costs Reporting to be in line with Financial Statements
• Personnel Budget & Actual Costs allocations
• Monthly Accruals & Year End Accruals Reversals
• Monthly Settlement of Cost Centres
• All Budget Exercises for the year
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience Required:
• Diploma in Finance or Higher degree with 10 years or more experience in the field of Cost accounting, financial accounting and fiscal domains preferably in the oil industry.
• An understanding of Exploration-Production specific Cost accounting and reporting norms
• Good command of English language. Conversant with quasi-legal correspondence
