Senior Data Engineer

Job description / Role

Excellent opportunity for a Data Engineering Manager to join a global organization in Dubai,  responsible for managing technical design, development and implementation of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms.

- Develops specifications and technical design for complex projects. 
- Maintain the overall Data lake architecture and data models 
- Collect functional data analytics requirements    
- Work closely with analysts and data scientists to develop data-driven dashboards and systems
- Models business processes and data
- Provide guidance on best practices for scalable data processing 
- Assists in creation and execution of test plans for integration and system

Requirements

- Functional understanding of big data management infrastructure solutions 
- Good experience in management of distributed systems and technologies
- Good familiarity with statistical modelling and machine learning 
- Proficient in at least one scripted language
- Experience with Analytic databases 
- Experience with reporting/analytic tools 
- Experience working with Large Data Volumes
