Job description / Role
SSA are assisting a large Dubai based Developer to identify experienced Senior Design/Architectural professional.
The design manager will manage the pre-contract and post-contract design and execution phases, coordination of all specialist consultant drawings and specifications, contractor workshop drawings, reviewing Bills of Quantities to make sure that the design components and specifications are reflected in the BOQ, and will assist the internal commercial (QS) manager and procurement dept. where the design and specification might have a material effect on cost or programming of the project. Furthermore he will be responsible for assisting the Head of Development in formulating development design briefs, working closely with the internal cost manager and procurement department.
Requirements
Architectural or Engineering Degree. 10-12 years experience in design management. Thorough understanding of construction sequencing and process management Strong written and oral communication skills. Extensive hands on full cycle experience, with specific bias towards mid rise residential projects and hospitality projects. Middle East/ Gulf experience is a must. Previous experience working for a multinational design practice, developer of contractor.
