Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

The position is to look after all academic functions of the region with key focus on school improvement including, academic development Programmes, students' assessment, coordination, monitoring and evaluation of schools. The individual will be responsible to prepare short and medium term strategic plans for schools in collaboration with the Regional head. (S) he will maintain contact and coordination with the Head Office academic team, relevant government and private organizations, volunteers, and community representatives on academic matters.

The role and responsibilities are briefly listed below.
• Collaborate and implement academic planning and policies
• Guide school heads and academic staff towards innovative, dynamic teaching techniques.
• Monitor and evaluate training and teaching outcomes.
• Monitor, evaluate, provide feedback and support to schools for the effective implementation of prescribed curricula
• Meet with academic units regarding curricular needs and to share best practices
• Provide learning resources and teaching materials, including textbooks and educational software that are appropriate and pertinent to the requirements to ensure quality education
• Develop a programme to support, monitor and evaluate each school's performance through school self-review processes across all schools.
• Understand, evaluate, and interpret academic performance data and interpret information about students' and teachers' progress.
• In close collaboration with internal stakeholders, design and Implement tracking mechanisms to obtain feedback from parents in order to address academic concerns at school and management levels

Requirements

The ideal candidate should have:
• A degree in education, educational leadership, management and administration up to Master's level (preferred).
• An understanding of international curricula (CIE) and play- & project-based learning
• A minimum of 10-12 years of overall experience in education, of which at least 5 years as a teacher and over 7 years in education leadership and management roles
• Demonstrated leadership qualities balanced with strong interpersonal skills
• Openness, initiative , integrity and sound professional judgment
• Adaptability
• Research and analytical skills

THE PACKAGE
• Gross monthly salary will be commensurate with the candidate's experience and profile [AED 17,000 - AED 20,000]
• Health insurance
• End of Contract flight to country of origin

CONTRACT
This is a two (02) year contract with an option to renew upon its completion.
