Job description / Role
• Designs, develops, and prepare drawings, details & calculations for power, lighting, load schedule, telephone & data system, fire alarm system, low current systems, etc.
• Prepare, review and update design specifications and requirement as per authorities regulation.
• Coordinate & follow up with authorities to obtain design approvals & NOC's.
• Prepare & update vendors list, manufacturer list, subcontractor & supplier list based on best practice and work history with related items.
• Supervise design team and make sure to complete work tasks on time and accurate.
• Supervise contractor work related to Mechanical work and make sure it is comply with specification & contract document.
• Review & reply contractor submitting, shop drawings, RFI's, inspection requests, etc.. related to Mechanical work.
• Prepare work reports showing the work progress and performance of the team.
• Manage work priority to avoid delay of tasks.
• Cooperate & Coordinate with other teams (engineers) to complete the work without any discrepancy.
• Typically reports to a manager or head of a unit/department.
Requirements
• The individual must be a degree holder with a minimum of 10+ years’ experience and must be a chartered engineer with registered engineer status.
• Broad design knowledge, from working on a wide range of projects.
• Experienced technical and project leader; track record of successful delivery over a sustained period within the industry.
• Diverse sector experience.
• Considerable experience working on complex international site based building projects in the Middle East.
