Job description / Role
Stantec Abu Dhabi is currently seeking an Electrical Engineer to support electrical design works for our on ongoing building projects.
Key Tasks and Duties
- Full knowledge and expertise in electrical systems design, calculations, life cycle cost analysis, drawing production and report writing.
- The candidate must be detailed oriented and well organized with effective communication skills both verbal and written.
- The candidate is expected to regularly attend Client meetings and give presentations on their area of expertise.
- The candidate should have familiarity with the latest versions of AutoCAD and Electrical Design Software, including Revit MEP.
- The candidate must be able to work well independently and with teams of designers and engineers to deliver an engineering design that is clear and concise.
Requirements
Qualifications and Experience
- Electrical Engineering Degree from a nationally accredited engineering program.
- More than 10 years of experience working within a Building Services Design Group with an emphasis in Power distribution and Lighting Design.
- Electrical Engineering Degree from a nationally accredited engineering program.
- Working knowledge of Revit/AutoCAD, and MS Office programs is required.
- Demonstrated Proficiency with International Building Codes and Standards, including the United States National Electrical Codes, British Standards, and Health Technical Memorandum (HTM)Standards.
- Experience in lighting, power distribution, lightning protection, telecommunications, fire alarm and other typical building electrical systems design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including a high proficiency in English is required.
- Demonstrated proficiency in specification writing in CSI Master Format.
- Understanding of multidisciplinary coordination through design and the construction process.
