Senior Engineer

Job description / Role

• To lead engineering projects from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications, timelines, and budget constraints.
• Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and stakeholders to define project requirements, objectives, and deliverables.
• Provide technical guidance and oversight throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
• To apply advanced engineering principles and methodologies to solve complex technical challenges.
• Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and cost-benefit analyses to support decision-making processes.
• Evaluate design proposals, specifications, and drawings to ensure accuracy, functionality, and safety.
• To collaborate with cross-functional teams, including architects, designers, contractors, and vendors, to integrate engineering solutions into overall project plans.
• Mentor and coach junior engineers, providing guidance on technical matters, professional development, and best practices.
• Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages knowledge sharing and innovation.
• To implement quality assurance processes and standards to maintain the highest level of engineering excellence.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
• Address any quality issues or non-conformities in a timely and effective manner, implementing corrective actions as needed.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in engineering design and construction.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and cost savings within engineering operations.
• Lead initiatives to implement new tools, methodologies, or systems that enhance productivity and performance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field). Master's degree preferred.
• Proven experience years in engineering roles, with a focus on project management and leadership.
• Professional Engineer (PE) licensure or equivalent certification preferred.
• Proficiency in engineering software and tools, such as AutoCAD, MATLAB, SolidWorks, or similar applications.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyse complex problems and develop innovative solutions.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Demonstrated leadership abilities, with a track record of successfully leading and motivating teams.
