Senior Footwear Buyer

Job description / Role

A major, growing retail business has an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Footwear Buyer to join their team in Dubai.

You will take over the following responsibilities:
- Developing and executing a comprehensive buying strategy for the shoes category
- Developing the product range to maximise sales, product lifecycle margin and brand image
- Collaborating with the Design Team to structure season range
- Working closely with the Merchandising Team to produce delivery and volume forecasts
- Training and developing the new members of the Buying Team

Requirements

- Degree level education
- Previous experience at Buyer/Manager level within a similar footwear business is a must
- Strong commercial acumen
- Excellent people management skills
- Strong communication, negotiation and influencing skills
- Flexible to travel; willing to do regular buying trips across regions
