Senior Legal Counsel - Investment Fund - Abu Dhabi

The Senior Legal Counsel shall be responsible for reviewing, advising and negotiating all commercial contracts, investments and joint ventures, coordination dispute resolution matters and promoting awareness of changes in law and regulation which will impact business operations across the fund management and fund investment business.

Description

* Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating fund documentation, including offering memorandums, limited partnership agreements, subscription agreements, and side letters.
* Advising on legal and regulatory matters related to fund formation and operations, including compliance with local and international regulations.
* Providing legal advice on cross-border transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and other strategic transactions.
* Managing legal due diligence on potential investments and acquisitions.
* Coordinating with external legal counsel and other advisors to ensure successful transaction execution.
* Developing and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, including investors, regulators, and other industry professionals.
* Managing legal risks and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

* Minimum of 6-8 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable law firm or in-house legal department, with a focus on funds.
* Strong experience in cross-border deals and transaction management.
* Strong knowledge of investment funds and relevant regulations.
* Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work collaboratively with other members of the legal team and across departments.
* Ability to identify and mitigate legal risks.
* Fluent in English, with strong legal drafting skills.
