Senior Logistic Officer

Job description / Role

- To support the operations department (technical and marine) for effective management of the supply chain function in order to ensure safe and continuous operation of the offshore assets. This position is critical in providing the best shipment strategy in terms of cost and lead time and optimizing the means of shipment.
- To ensure that all shipments are delivered as per schedule and priorities given by the Technical Team.
- To define approved freight vendors and local ship agencies
- Carry out regional purchasing activities in line with established procurement policies and procedures.
- To negotiate frame agreements, annual rates with main freight suppliers and local ship agency

To define, propose and follow KPIs:
- Sea-road / air shipments ratio
- Delivery lead time
- Cost optimization

- To define importation guidelines in selected countries and ensure that it is being followed at all times.
- To directly manage stock in Dubai and comply with local rules and regulations

Ensure that all allocated / dry docked vessels get their spares delivered in consideration of the following criteria:
- In a timely manner
- In a Cost efficient way
- As per company policies and Procedures

Requirements

- Minimum 5-7 seven years of experience in a similar role
- Experience with a Third Party Logistic companies


Job-Specific Skills:
- Good negotiation skills
- Good analytical skills and ability to evaluate offers
- Knowledge of customs clearance process
