Principal Functions

The Digital Solutions team works with Etisalat’s Business customers to design implement and support digital solutions that maximize return on investment, improve performance, optimize their ICT and Telecom environments and achieve their business objectives. The team employs some of the foremost technology experts and competencies to solve complex end-to-end ICT integrated problems ranging from infrastructure, Digital Signage, Cloud and Managed Services, M2M, mobility, IOT-Internet of Things, Security, Smart transformational initiatives, network, program/project management, delivery, and application performance challenges, always with a mind to our customer’s business strategy. The Digital Solutions or DS section within PS&PM provides competent, responsive and professional project management services (chargeable) to clients during all phases of product or customized solution implementation. Internally, DS interacts specifically with the Product Owners from Digital Solutions team and with all departments in Etisalat to ensure that, our client’s requirements are met within budget, specification and in a timely manner. This section is also responsible for providing guidance and direction to the Product Managers regarding functional specifications, adaptive requests and other customer needs/concerns. Moreover, this department is accountable for ensuring the continuity of these client services/relations through planning, technical leadership, and coordination.

The Senior Manager is responsible for the successful delivery and implementation of small, medium and exceptionally large and complex long-term strategic Digital Solutions programs/projects, which have, cross - organizational impacts and high dollar values. Solves and manages complex End-to-End system integrated solutions aligned to both Etisalat Business objectives and market demands ranging from infrastructure, Digital Signage, Cloud and Managed Services, IOT, M2M, mobility, security, network, Smart transformational initiatives program/project management, delivery, and application performance challenges, always with a mind to our customer’s business strategy.

Provides competent, responsive and professional project management services (chargeable) to customers during all phases of product implementation. Ensures the continuity of these customer services/relations through planning, technical leadership, and coordination. Senior Manager ensure that the client’s programs/projects requirements are met, the program/project is completed on-time, per scope, within budget, and quality. Leads the design, planning, and implementation of complex programs/projects for ICT

Duties & Responsibilities

- Responsible for delivery of Medium to complex programs/projects ranging in size from AED10M to AED150+M with special emphasis on Digital Solutions Lines of Business i.e. Digital Signage, M2M, Security, Cloud and Managed Services, IOT, Smart Cities and others.
- Provides oversight of organizational projects and resources, Manages projects portfolio and reports to higher management. Manages projects priority based on business strategy
- Ensures established standards, process, and procedures are adhered to.
- Manages results-oriented monthly project reviews and provide semi-annual performance reviews with measurement objectives and targets
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies. Proficient in MS Project or equivalent
- Mastery of managing projects through the entire life cycle, including but not limited to project planning, estimating, and scheduling using standard tools, often introducing best practices for consideration; can teach others how to bring teams from project charters to realistic software release plans
- Engages closely with Engineering, Solution Architecture, Enterprise Sales, Product Marketing, Service Delivery and other Etisalat department when required to ensure program/projects success.
- Estimates projects using multiple techniques to arrive at realistic schedules and costs
- Defines roles and expectations to support prioritization of overall enterprise business activities
- Experience in vendor and 3rd party management, including managing relationships over extended periods of time and over multiple projects
- Develops projects management team to support aggressive growth plan to meet overall business objective, define team roles & timing of hiring & development for growth intervals
- Assigns tasks to the managers, interface directly with the business units' sales and service departments; and provide customer support at a high management level in coordination with sales
- Reports and reviews programs progress including key issues and concerns to facilitate the development and implementation of future programs
- Manages and reviews all aspects of vendor relations to facilitate the flow of contract agreements in close coordination with Contracts & Admin Section
- Participates in business strategy, execution and reporting activities and work on cross-functional business initiatives including resources, processes, tools and cultural tasks
- Assists Director Project Management in developing and executing department objectives and budgets
- Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies used within PSPM.
- Ensures, in coordination with Director, program managers, that resource are available for customer engagements and are booked in advance.
- Develops, enhances and maintains strategic relations and strong business alliances with concerned Engineering as well as Consultants/ Vendors/ Suppliers/ Agencies/ Customers for networking and business expansion/development.
- Liaises effectively with other ES departments as well as Regional/Global Telecom advisory/regulatory and professional bodies/organizations to establish technical performance benchmarks and standards
- Identifies other Etisalat opportunities while engaged in customer consultancy. Goal is to obtain the trusted advisor status by developing long-term customer relationships.
- Provide mentoring, coaching and direction to team members
- Performs any other related duties, as required.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- The candidate should have a bachelor degree in Business/IT
- The candidate should have at least 8 to 10 years of experience in professional services/ICT in a large telecom/ICT company
