Job Specific Knowledge
- Experienced with British, European and International standards and other construction practices, such as PIANC.
- Experienced in a consulting engineering environment over the whole lifecycle of a project including concept, FEED and Detailed Design.
- Experience in the design of a range of marine structures such as different types of quay walls, jetties, dolphins, sea water intakes/outfalls and pumping stations.
- Sound understanding of soil structure interaction.
- Knowledge of the design of coastal structures such as breakwaters and revetments.
- Understanding of the different types of coastal modelling and the design of approach channels.
- Knowledge of seismic design.
- Knowledge of the design of back of port facilities such as crane beams, paving and utilities.
- Experienced in dealing with a variety of clients including developers, government bodies and EPC Contractors.
- Competent in the use of industry software.
- Competent in the evaluation of the condition of existing structures, including condition surveys and projected maintenance programs.

Requirements

Job Specific Experience
- Must have relevant design experience on a range of marine projects.
- Preference will be given to candidates with:
- Experience working in the Middle East .

Education
- A relevant Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Engineering
- Chartered Engineer or working towards Chartership preferable
