Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Purpose: To co-ordinate all marketing activities and requirements within our countries of operation in the GCC (UAE, Qatar, Oman) for averda. As the local owner of activation campaigns, advertising, sponsorship, literature, signage, social media updates, internal communications coordination, research, public relations coordination, content management and livery branding etc. you will be a key member of the operations marketing team.

While you will have support from your colleagues at group level in London or retained service providers in each of the countries, you will project manage all briefs from concept to execution in the countries ensuring full coordination with country managers. In addition, you will support all other regions in the GCC East in matters related to brand & communications and be responsible for pre-approved local budgets.

You will work very closely with the operations and contract managers teams to develop and launch activities and/or promotions that are required contractually or as proposed by Averda.

In addition, you will offer marketing support for all the marketing team members and become an active central member to the marketing team and ensure all activities are aligned with the company’s vision and business objectives.

Overview
• To create based on findings a marketing plan to the three countries in the GCC East area.
• To make sure marketing plan is aligned with the objectives of the central marketing team and the objectives of the company as well as the KPIs given to Averda by our client
• To implement all the aspects of the marketing plan.
• To manage on the ground the research in the different countries
• To project coordinate all ATL and BTL activities for the countries.
• Build and maintain good relations with company stakeholders (internal and external), reflecting a professional corporate image at all times.
• Meet with different local department to ensure requirements are met.
• To ensure all projects are delivered to the colleagues in the GCC East.
• Become the key contact person between averda & its partners/clients in the GCC
• Meets with other communications executives and managers within the Marketing team to ensure perfect harmony in brand work to ensure one averda brand is represented and guidelines are followed.

Specifically
• To coordinate on providing marketing consultation and resource for the GCC East , utilising local agencies, group creative teams, group retained agencies, ensuring all in line with group guidelines
• Create fresh local content for averda.com
• Periodically meet with the local MDs & to gather their marketing requests
• Create content for local literature
• Manage the information and data of the countries
• Country research (legislation, trends, events).
• Product analysis and development e.g. vehicles, bin types etc.
• Internal compilation of facts and figures. Production of product/service fact sheets.

Photographs
• We wish to be a no-waste business, however we appreciate certain audiences require print e.g. leaflets, brochures, posters etc. Under the literature look and feel guidelines you will manage all print projects.
• Coordinate all local events and sponsorship agreements with the help of corporate marketing team, local operations teams and procurement.
• Suggest updates and initiatives for website, Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn, with the support on the agency and the group team.
• Handle the Instagram account of the countries in the GCC East area
• Find relevant events on local levels to deliver against the country marketing plan
• Manage all events aspects from finding suppliers to onsite management of events that averda organizes and/or participates in
• Develop a team of “Brand Champions” across the country who will ‘live the brand’ and encourage ‘best branding practices’ in their individual departments.
• Co-Owner of the local marketing budget and management of PO’s account requisitions and account tracking.
• Continually ensuring the averda logo and brand is represented correctly in the GCC East markets.
• Pro-actively seek reputation building and opinion leadership opportunities, briefing the group public relations expert.
• Responds to requests from the media or designates another appropriate spokesperson or information source, always keeping the public relations agency and Group PR Manager in the loop.

Admin
• Ensure there is a full back up of all finished projects undertaken in such a manner as to make them easily retrievable at all times.
• Prepare weekly progress reports covering all jobs being undertaken at any point – identifying any delays or issues in order for them to be resolved.
• Evolve process and procedures for your disciplines and ensure they are implemented and followed.

Requirements

• Minimum experience & essential knowledge
• 2 plus years of experience in a similar role.
• 4 plus years of account handling and project management experience
• Sound understanding of all disciplines within brand & communications
• Fluent in English & Arabic.
• Knowledge from previous brand work with clients in the GCC East is recommended
