Position Open: Senior Officer - Accountant

For an investment house in Dubai

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
• Accounting function of the corporate including funds and SPVs.
• Closing of financials.
• Preparing MIS report.
• Manage payments and reconciliation.
• Approving of daily payments.
• Ensuring daily closing.
• Manage Auditors, external and internal - Audit filing with DFSA.
• Implementing internal controls in FCD processes.
• Maintain accounting systems and controls.
• Ensure companies books complies with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
• Meeting timetable and calculating accruals/prepayments.
• Responsible for accounting issues for a number of Investment products.
• Apply the policies, procedures, rules and regulations of the Group at all times in the course of business transaction.

Requirements

REQUIREMENTS
• Professional qualification and work experience is a MUST.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Business Management / Administration:
• CA / CPA / ACCA / CISA preferred
• 5 – 12 years of progressive post qualification experience in or Fund manager or banking industry or Big 4
• Excellent technical knowledge of IFRS especially related to consolidation and revenue recognition
• Understanding of US GAAP
• Very strong computer skills, preferably Oracle Financials
• Excellent oral and written English is essential
