Job description / Role
An owner operator of a gas plant in Dubai requires a Senior Operations Engineer to join on a permanent residential basis. The position is Dubai based on a 5 x 2 non-rota schedule but will require irregular hours and days due to project and Shift Supervisor schedules.
The main purpose of the role is to support the Plant Manager in safe, reliable, and economic operation of the gas plant.
Requirements
Suitable candidates will have a minimum of 15 years of Gas Plant / Refinery experience with 10 years in an Operations/Process Engineer role. Degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent as minimum technical qualifications. Comprehensive understanding of gas plant design, controls, maintenance and operations. Sound knowledge of standards and codes. Preferably conversant in HYSYS, Chem cad, pro-II etc.
- Experience with distributed control systems, gas processing and gas turbine and compressor operations.
- Strong verbal and written English skills, including the ability to draft concise operating instructions and procedures.
- Computer literate – Microsoft Excel & Word
- Strong leadership skills for both internal and external actors.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, organizational and planning skills
- Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision.
