Senior Operations Officer (Banking)

Job description / Role

Charterhouse is working with a leading Abu Dhabi based financial institution who is looking to hire a Senior Operations Officer.

This function oversees areas of both middle & back office processes to support the front office and investment related activities across the organisation. The bulk of their product portfolio and transactional undertaking spans both buy-side & sell-side related services along with portfolio management and this role shall oversee all aspects of verification, documentation and subsequent settlement procedures with corporate clients and other financial institutions partners. The role shall also support the front office, where required, in areas of negotiation, product specification & contractual support. In conjunction, this role will also support transactional activity along with the process of validation & execution of fund flows. This role shall also act as a key liaison point with any external manager on investment-related matters whilst having an oversight of all operational matters across the ongoing investment mandates whilst also overseeing any transactional activity & execution from an operational stand-point.

Requirements

The successful candidate should be an experienced professional whom is capable of demonstrating a strong product understanding, across a corporate or investment banking platform, coupled with a background within operations; to provide a strong network of guidance & advisory within a set-up that encourages a broad & pragmatic approach to job responsibilities. Candidates will be required to possess an in-depth knowledge of investment administration and ideally financing & re-financing options. The client will also require a candidate whom can oversee relationships and understandings across compliance, legal, finance and internal audit functions, to ensure adequate process and operational alignment. Typically, our client looks for very strong educational credentials, coupled with exposure, to the international banking market within the UAE or GCC.
