Job description / Role
Bamilo is looking for a Senior PHP Developer who possesses a passion for pushing web technologies to the limits. You will work with our team of talented engineers to design and build our next generation of the software. As a Senior PHP Developer, you will design and develop complex web applications and modules for our e-Commerce platforms. Furthermore, you will optimize our platforms for scalability during peak traffic hours. Adhering to Agile Methodologies and working directly with the Product Management team, you will also ensure code quality and enforce best practices by communicating and sharing them to team members.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate in the full software development lifecycle, implement and maintain functionality in LAMP stack for e-Commerce Shop, OM, Logistics and other related web systems
- Develop, code, test, and debug new software or enhancements to existing software
- Conduct software audits to ensure compliance with application requirements and specifications
- Support software quality assurance and configuration management activities
- A desire to solve real-world problems, making customers lives easier
Requirements
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
- At least 5+ years of PHP development using OOP and database-driven applications and a willingness to work in PHP 7
- Solid experience in one of the following frameworks: Yii, Zend
- Extensive experience designing, querying, and updating databases in MySQLv
- Experience in coding in complex distributed enterprise web systems
- Solid understanding of queuing and messaging mechanisms (i.e. RabbitMQ), caching techniques and their benefits and/or limitations (i.e. Memcached, Redis, etc.)
- Experience in building and consuming APIs and web services
- Experience with automated testing and/or continuous integration, VCS (Git)
- Good knowledge of JavaScript/ExtJS/jQuery/SCSS/HTML5/CSS3
- Good teamwork and strong communication skills
- Good command of technical English language
- Familiarity with following frameworks is a plus: Laravel, Symfony and Phalcon
- Experience in e-Commerce industry is a plus
