Job description / Role
A well-established medical center in Dubai is looking for a Senior Prosthetist and Orthotist to join their highly professional team on a full-time basis.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and interview patients to determine their needs
- Measure patients in order to design and fit medical devices
- Design orthopedic and prosthetic devices based on physicians' prescriptions
- Take a mold of the part of a patient's body that will be fitted with a brace or artificial limb
- Select materials to be used for the orthotic or prosthetic device
- Fit, test, and adjust devices on patients
- Instruct patients in how to use and care for their devices
- Repair or update prosthetic and orthotic devices
- Document care in patients' records
Preferred Skills
- Fully literate in both verbal and written English
- Excellent customer service and patient care skills
- Commitment to continuous improvement and innovation.
- Computer skills (e.g. workload measurement input, word processing, email, etc.)
Additional Notes
The desired candidate must be a people person, an excellent team player, who is outgoing, energetic and positive with a willingness to learn and improve.
Package
- 48 hours per week
- Paid visa

Requirements
Requirements
- Not less than 3 years as an Orthotist/Prosthetist in a large hospital with relevant experience with patients with the same diagnosis seen in acute care hospital or rehab facilities
- Bachelor degree or Diploma minimum of three (3) years course duration in Prosthetics and Orthotics
- Current National License or membership in a recognized international registration board
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
