Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Your main tasks will be:

Sales and Profitability
• Budget and forecasting for the business through identifying market trends and opportunities that maximise performance
• Achieve targeted sales and profitability for the brand
• Full P&L accountability for the business

Buying and Merchandising
• Through a team of buyers and merchandisers decide unit buy, margin and markdown strategy for the year ahead to ensure this meets the budgeted sales and profit
• Continually analyse best and worst seller performance through the team to ensure sell through of product is as per the target and take action where necessary within season
• Ensure stock is allocated to ensure sales and profit targets are met for the brand

Operations
• Ensure excellent execution of retail and visual standards as per brand guidelines through the Operations and Visual teams
• Visit stores regularly to review store and product performance and collate market intelligence
• Develop and implement an agreed expansion strategy for the brand and conduct store/mall feasibilities
• Ensure regular communication to the team on achievements and business objectives
• Manage risk through constant review of policies and procedures and ensure that stock loss targets are met
• Ensure the brand operates within company policies and procedures at all times
• Lead and develop the team, and ensure succession plan is in place to fill future vacancies
• Work closely with the Franchise partner to ensure all opportunities are maximised
• Work cross functionally with the head office team to achieve goals
• Ensure training is conducted to enhance skill levels of the team and drive further sales growth

Marketing
• Develop a marketing plan for the brand that will enhance the brand’s image in the UAE market in conjunction with the Marketing Department

Requirements

Requirements

Experience:
• A minimum of 5 years experience as Sales’ Representative in the retail industry, two years within the Middle East, experienced in apparel and accessories and with a Sportswear and/or Department Store and/or Duty Free background in Merchandising or Buying
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written
• A strong understanding of brand management trends and cost effective approaches are extremely helpful
• Proven analytical skills
• High level of computer literacy including Photoshop, Powerpoint, Word and particularly Excel.
• Able to create, execute and implement plans
