Senior Site Interior Designer - Hotel Fit Out

Job description / Role

- Well regarded International Architecture and Interior firm are delivering a largescale Hotel project on a prominent location in Dubai.
- The seek a Senior Interior Designer to deliver the fit out of the Hotel, based on Site.
- Report to the Lead Consultant / Project Director / Resident Architect and Head of Interior Design for weekly progress role to provide professional support for the Interior Design services during the post contract stage (site supervision)
- Preparation and presentation of interior design and finishes to client and project team
- Attends client meetings and records discussion through minutes of the meeting
- Responsible for the interior design requirements and fulfillment of client’s needs
- Review and respond to contractors submittals (shop drawings, material fixtures, etc.and ensure that all submittals are as per design / specification and local authority.
- Respond to RFIs pertaining to interior design. Assist design office in answering design related RFIs and sit correspondence in coordination with Lead Consultant.
- Conducts regular site inspections to ensure work progresses as per approved interior design.
- Evaluate and give recommendation on alternative proposal; for value engineering.
- Extensive knowledge base in finishes and FF&E and local market.
- Managing the approval of site mock ups with the client and lead consultant
- Attends technical and design coordination meetings, provides practical solutions to design issues and concerns.
- Organize and implement a very efficient document control system
- Ability to provide monthly reports.
- Detail oriented person and must have an eye for design
- Familiar with the local and international building codes, regulations, and safety codes.

Requirements

- Interior Design degree holder or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of experience and minimum 5 years site experience with a leading design consultancy firm and worked in a similar capacity
- Minimum 3 years of UAE site experience with similar role
- Experienced in hospitality and residential projects
- Proficiency in various design software such as CAD, Photoshop, InDesign, Sketchup is required
- Excellent written and spoken English and able to communicate clearly and efficiently
- Strong command in executing the works as per the design have demonstrated skills in decision making
- Comfortable in fast paced environments and can work under pressure
- Good hand sketching ability to demonstrate ideas
- Team management and leadership
- Produce detailed design and construction drawing packages
