Job description / Role

Employment: Full Time

Job Purpose

Advise the corporate communications across the Group; support and enable targeted storytelling and stakeholder engagement, Plan and supervise public relations and reputation risk management activities in order to effectively promote and increase awareness on the business operations to external stakeholders and enhance the Group's reputation.

Job Specific Accountabilities
- Review the analysis External Communications operational plans and initiatives; identify gaps and recommend corrective measures to support in strengthening and protecting the Group's image and reputation among key stakeholders locally and internally.
- Develop reputation risk management programs to ensure proactive and reactive management of issues that may adversely affect the Group's image.
- Advise the Management on critical and sensitive reputation issues and communication related challenges in order to inform effective decision-making.
- Develop Group public relations plans and initiatives in line with its strategic objectives in order to continuously build a positive reputation, and improve perception among external stakeholders.
- Ensure building a strong media relation with core print and online media and journalists locally and globally, in order to create better media opportunities.
- Monitor the analyses trends and metrics related to public perception and media coverage trends in order to continuously identify opportunities to enhance public relations strategies and plans.
- Provide technical advice to Group's subsidiaries, assets and operating companies to support in defining reputation management and public relations strategies, and corporate communication plans that is consistent across the Group.
- Provide targeted, innovative storytelling and stakeholder engagement plans & content to support the business in delivering reliable, accurate and influential messages to the desired target audience.
- Perform other related duties or assignments as directed.

Generic Accountabilities

Supervision
- Plan, supervise and coordinate all activities in the assigned area to meet functional objectives.
- Train and develop the assigned staff on relevant skills to enable them to become proficient on the job and deliver the respective section objectives.

Budgets
- Provide input for preparation of the Function / Divisional budgets, assist in the implementation of the approved Budget, and work plans to deliver objectives.
- Investigate and highlight any significant variances to support effective performance and cost control.

Policies, Systems, Processes & Procedures
- Implement approved Function / Divisional policies, processes, systems, standards and procedures in order to support execution of the work programs in line with Company and International standards.
Performance Management
- Contribute to the achievement of the approved Performance Objectives for the Function / Division in line with the Company Performance framework.

Innovation and Continuous Improvement
- Design and implement new tools and techniques to improve the quality and efficiency of operational processes.
- Identify improvements in internal processes against best practices in pursuit of greater efficiency in line with ISO standards in order to define intelligent solutions for issues confronting the function.

Health, Safety, Environment (HSE) and Sustainability
- Comply with relevant HSE policies, procedures, controls, applicable legislation, and sustainability guidelines in line with international standards, best practices and ADNOC Code of Practices.

Reports
- Provide inputs to prepare Section MIS and progress reports for Company Management.

Internal Communications & Working Relationships
- Manager, External Communications Department
- VP, External Communications
- Any other Function, as required

External Communications & Working Relationships
- External organizations, advertising agencies, or similar organizations regarding various communication initiatives.
- ADNOC Group Companies.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in communications/ digital communication/ marketing or equivalent.

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills
- 10 years of experience, in progressive and senior-level roles in corporate communications, digital communication, branding, etc., preferably experience in a large-scale organization with complex business operations and various sectors or experience working in various industries.
- Strong knowledge of corporate communication strategy development and implementation, and ability to devise strategies that drive business results.
- Strong knowledge of a wide range of digital platforms including social media, websites, e-newsletters.
- Strong project management knowledge and ability to deliver web/digital projects within cross-functional teams.
- Creative and innovative approach to communications with the ability to identify new ways of working and lead the change needed.
- Strong written communications skills.
