Job Purpose:
- Apply advanced statistical methods and AI to support the modeling, optimization and analysis of the integrated value chain.
- Develop data pipelines, create insightful dashboards, and ensure data integrity.
- Incorporate the latest data science innovations and leading the adoption of cutting-edge analytics solutions, facilitating cross-divisional collaboration and enhancing data literacy within the team.
- Plan activities related to the department's objective of generating highest possible return across the supply chain at the lowest delivered cost.
- Provide stewardship and governance support in the supply chain optimization of ADNOC's refining, petrochemical assets at UAE and future worldwide locations (Business Line Group Companies).
- Safeguard and maximize ADNOC's interest in close coordination with Business Line Group Company supply chain divisions, corresponding sales& Trading entities and ADNOC Group marketing and trading.
- Ensure required support in the evaluation of new investments, JV negotiations, commercial terms, feed stock purchase strategies and marketing of products.

Key accountabilities:
- Apply advanced statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and potential AI to analyze complex datasets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights that inform decision-making and optimization.
- Develop and maintain data pipelines for efficient data collection, cleaning, and preprocessing to support modeling, optimization and analytics efforts.
- Create dashboards and reports that visualize data insights for stakeholders across the organization and effectively communicate findings and recommendations through clear and effective presentations and reports.
- Design and implement metrics and KPIs to measure the performance of data analytics initiatives and optimize processes and tools.
- Develop data governance policies and procedures to ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used in analysis.
- Contribute to the planning process by providing data-driven insights and forecasts that inform strategies and goals.
- Stay abreast of the latest developments in data science and analytics, incorporating cutting-edge techniques into the division's toolkit.
- Lead the exploration and implementation of innovative data analytics and management solutions to enhance analytical capabilities and outcomes.
- Act as a liaison between the Model and Analytics team and other divisions in matters related to data exchanges and data-driven insights.
- Contribute to enhance the data literacy the team members in advanced analytics techniques.
- Support, review the value chain optimization programs of all relevant BLGC companies in close coordination with respective optimization committees ensuring the highest value generation within the framework of the respected shareholder agreements.
- Review and ensure optimal feed slate at all the refining and petrochemical assets while considering ADNOC's overall interests.
- Review & Support in the preparation, review and challenge of annual plans, five year business plan with due respect to market conditions, assets performance and synergies across all related assets.
- Develop high level multi economic scenarios ensuring integration with ADNOC's upstream and downstream assets within & across countries.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders like refinery supply chain teams, respective marketing, Finance teams and ADNOC marketing and trading to get the required inputs to develop optimum plans.
- Provide views on ADNOC group companies' annual, five-year business plans related to feed stock, products volume, marketing, profitability to ensure alignment with corporate business plans.
- Ensure maximization of Asset utilization with due consideration given to margins.
- Support ADNOC market research team and provide feedback on the quality of the input developing pricing scenarios, market dynamics.
- Support the review of planned turnaround schedule, identify improvement opportunities, and provide timely input to the refining, petrochemical operations, technical team for best timing and optimal slate. This critical input facilitates productive, collaborative work environment paving the path to operations excellence.
- Deliver required support in evaluating proposals for plant modification, improvements and debottlenecking using the LP tools. Provide all necessary inputs to the management in taking the investment decisions.
- Deliver required support in audits, benchmarking studies and in the implementation of recommendations to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
- Support periodic review of the long-term agreements, identification of any modifications that will be of mutual benefit to ADNOC and the relevant shareholders.
- Liaise with respective assets owners and ensure updated LP and simulation models across value chain.
- Liaise and perform simulations with respective asset owners for incorporating new technology units, catalyst developments and other value drivers.
- Provide analysis on latest trends in digitisation, Artificial Intelligence and industry developments.
- Support techno economic evaluation of new investments.
- Commercial support in negotiations for finalizing project licensors.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor degree in chemical / mechanical / petroleum engineering or equivalent, with a Master degree or higher in Data Science or a related field.
- Alt: A Bachelor degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or a related field, with 5-8 years of relevant experience within refining, petrochemical or gas processing business.
- Minimum of 6 years of relevant experience in data analytics, data science, or a related field, with a proven track record of applying advanced statistical methods, machine learning algorithms, and data management practices.
