Our client, a global architectural and interior design international consultancy firm, is looking to appoint a Site Architect due to project growth. This role is site based and is responsible to provide interior design input in to the design scope of finishing stage works on behalf of the client focusing on the review of shop drawings, RFIs and materials review. This role is responsible for the design management from a site perspective, as client’s representative, for this low set five-star 300 bed resort hotel at Saadiyat Island.
Reporting to the Project Manager and provide interior design scope to the design management process, this role is responsible for the following:
• Checking and verification of shop drawings to enable construction of the project.
• Manage and communicate project design objectives and requirements as the client’s representative.
• Provide project management support and direction from a design perspective.
• Respond to RFI’s to contractors and other stakeholders.
• Review of materials to ensure compliance to quality, cost and for construction use.
• Management of the interior design documents for the construction phase associated with interior finishes, details, FF&E and signage to ensure that the documentation is applicable, complete and accurate.
• Management of project risk within the parameters established by the firm.
Requirements
The attributes we seek for this newly created role will comprise the following:
• Degree in Architecture or Interior Design is essential with a minimum of 7 years’ design architecture and site management experience including management of projects through the construction phase.
• Experience on large scale interior design projects with exposure to hotel / hospitality projects being highly regarded.
• Architects or Interior Designers with professional membership (ARB/RIBA/AIA) would be highly regarded.

• Candidates must be self-motivated, self-directed and be hands on.
