Software Engineer (Airfield Systems)

Job description / Role

• Competent engineer in the work of one or more technical disciplines with a broad general knowledge of electrical engineering, airfield lighting, VDGS, and all associated sub systems for a particular market Sector.
• Candidates should have the experience in installing / supervising the following systems:

- Airfield Lighting systems.
- Visual Docking Guidance systems (VDGS)
- FOD Radar Detection

• Knowledge in the below system will be highly desirable (Taxiway Crossing, Remote Tower and Pre-Departure Sequencer)
• Responsible for overseeing/coordinating all technical aspects of mid-sized to large projects.
• Responsible for design/coordinating all hardwired and software interfaces between systems.
• Perform necessary design calculations to determine systems performance requirements and criteria compliance.
• Prepare reports related to all design functions and develop specifications to establish Systems parameters to meet project criteria.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or any related field
• 5+ Years of experience in similar domain with similar responsibilities.
• Solid background in airfield systems IT infrastructure. (servers, storage).
• Solid background in airfield systems interfaces and interlocks (HW & SW).
