Solution & Technology Architect Manager

Job description / Role

Synopsis

Responsible for designing and developing technology solutions for Value Steams, ensuring the alignment of solution designs conforming to architectural standards, business requirements, budgets & Digital, Technology & Architecture strategy.

Accountabilities

- Works within Value Streams (embedded as part of the team), as part of projects or agile delivery teams, to develop solution and technology designs, standards and builds architecture runways.
- Works closely with Technology & Architecture to ensure the solutions defined & developed align with the agreed technology roadmaps, business capabilities, technology strategy and are implemented as designed.
- Ensure solution and technology architecture standards, governance and principles are implemented effectively within the Value Streams using the Etihad Architecture Frameworks and Tools
- Develop the design and implementation of solution architecture as part of both agile and waterfall delivery, enabling innovation, cost efficiency, strategy alignment and speed to market
- Ensure solution and technology architecture assets that are developed for Value Streams are aligned to the DTI strategy and are compliant with the enterprise's future state architecture
- Responsible for developing emergent design, intentional design, model driven design, solution context and solution design that meets the business requirements, strategy and vision, standards and principles.
- Provide consultation to the product and project delivery teams, identifying ways to apply new or existing technologies to support business initiatives, innovation, facilitating the reuse of ideas, components, services, and proven patterns within the Value Stream
- Define and Develop solution & technology architecture value accelerators, patterns, standards, enablers and digital technology transformation within Value Streams to ensure alignment with enterprise-wide architecture.

Requirements

Education & Experience

- Solution architecture and technology expertise with a minimum of 8 years of experience in complex IT architecture environments. Airline industry experience desirable.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related degree is desirable. One or more Certification in Solution and/or Enterprise Architecture mandatory - e.g. TOGAF, SAFe Architect, Open Certified Architect, ISEB Architecture, UML or ArchiMate
- Experience in seeking the alignment of business and IT, driving common approaches, delivering sustainable, re-usable solutions using both agile and waterfall.
