Job description / Role
Job Purpose: To plan and manage the architect, design, Implementation and delivery of Mobility & Smart solutions for the group.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Prepare the annual business plan for the Mobility and Smart solutions that is aligned and meets business strategies and objectives (Align enterprise mobility strategy with overall company strategy)
• Approve enterprise-wide mobility road map viz. platform roll-outs, vendor selection, consolidated solutions etc. while maintaining the company's Mobility vision & strategic direction
• Manage the architect, design and build of the Mobility and Smart solutions.
• Analyze new Demands and businesses setup requirements then plan & manage the implementation and deployment of Mobility projects.
• Provide advice on the design and the internal structure of the Mobility and Smart applications to other Group IT functions
• Coordinate with the Infrastructure management team to ensure the availability, performance and capacity of the Mobility and Smart solutions.
• Recommend business improvement (i.e. improving operational efficiency and reducing costs) opportunities by maximizing solutions utilization and industry best practices. (Measure and ensure the success of mobility initiatives)
• Support the other IT teams in the design and development of management information system and decision support systems.
• Plan and oversee the development of the Mobility & Smart solution’s interfaces.
• Manage applications releases and updates and prepare business case for release upgrades.
• Plan and execute the release upgrades and coordinate the same with the Infrastructure Manager and the IT Services Manager.
• Develop and manage a formal communication channel to report back to all management layers, progress against the plan and ensure that cross-functional priorities are agreed and issues effectively resolved.
• Ensure Comprehensive and up-to-date solutions documentation including but limited to system build-up, configuration, customization and end-user reporting.
• Develop functional and technical consultants supporting and maintaining the Mobility and Smart applications.
• Maintain and enhance personal skills and knowledge in management, business and areas of responsibility.
• Reviewing the status of mobility projects and assess benefits/ROI derived
• Report progress of mobility initiatives to Executive Committee
• Review business case for mobility projects
Provide approvals for exceptions to defined framework. This would be in cases where Business would like to -
• Opt for off-the-shelf solutions from product vendors
• Opt for a specialized vendor other than the selected vendors
• Deviate from defined technology, security, process or branding guidelines
Requirements
• B.Sc. (4 years degree) in computer related field such as or Computer Science, Information Systems or Electrical / Electronics / IT / Industrial Engineering
• 10 years experience in areas of IT of which 6 years worked in large organization on managing, deploying and supporting business related applications
• Strong knowledge of mobile apps & platforms (MADP, MDM)
• Good knowledge of IT management systems such as ITIL framework
• General knowledge of Quality frameworks with possible exposure to ISO27001 standard and COBIT framework
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent in Business Analysis
• Good communication and presentation skills
• Excellent Coordinating and planning capabilities
• Vendor management capabilities
• Team playing ability
• Ability to handle functional roles of non-reporting personnel
• Fluent English (writing, reading and conversation) + Arabic is advantage
