Job Description:
We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable sommelier to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for wine and a thorough understanding of different varietals, regions, and vintages. As a sommelier at Isabella's, you will be responsible for curating an exceptional wine list that complements our menu and enhances the overall dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities:
• Craft and maintain a stellar wine list that complements our menu and reflects Isabella's unique style.
• Be a wine guru – provide expert recommendations to guests, considering their preferences and menu selections.
• Craft wine pairings for special events, private dining, and wine dinners, creating a memorable experience.
• Educate and inspire! Conduct wine tastings and sessions for staff and guests to cultivate a deeper appreciation for wine.
• Manage wine inventory with a hawk-eye, ensuring proper storage and handling for optimal quality.
• Collaborate seamlessly with the culinary team, crafting pairings that elevate each dish's flavours.
• Stay ahead of the curve! Continuously explore new releases, trends, and emerging regions to keep our wine program cutting-edge.

Requirements

Requirements:

• Italian citizenship or nationality preferred.
• Certified Sommelier or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
• Proven experience as a Sommelier in a fine dining establishment or luxury hotel.
• Deep understanding of wine varietals, regions, and vintages.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Passion for exceeding guest expectations with top-notch customer service.
