Job Purpose

Explores and identifies new methods of expansion and develops new ways to grow the Oil Spill & HNS Response Department. Carry out new business development plans, using a variety of marketing techniques to attract potential customers, schedules meetings with these customers, and conducts focus groups to pinpoint consumer wants and needs.

Job Specific Accountabilities

- Evaluates the business expansion needs and executes a strategy for discovering and securing new business opportunities either locally, regionally, or internationally.
- Provides input for business plans of the Oil Spill & HNS Response Department.
- Liaise with any program gendered towards business development by the Company in provision of technical assistance to clients, including market plans, business evaluation.
- Will be involved in all projects of the Oil Spill & HNS Response Department for the accomplishment of company's strategies and goals.
- Acts as the BD focal point for the Operations Support Team.
- Provides input to reports for Oil Spill & HNS Response Department management regarding client feedback on services.
- Develops business strategies for the department to feed into the ADNOC L & S overall strategy.
- Evaluates, determines, and realizes quarterly business growth goals.
- Contributes to business meetings, report on issue status, and develops support plan to prioritize and resolve any issues.
- Represents the Oil Spill & HNS Department at trade organizations, on committees, and during board meetings, when necessary.
- Identifies forecast shortfalls and helps develop corrective strategies with Planning and Business Improvement Management.
- Fosters beneficial relationships with business partners, potential clients, and business contacts to attract new businesses and enhancing organization reputation.
- Assess and responds to the needs of each client or assignment.
- Remains on-call as per the duty roster to respond in a timely manner to emergencies.
- Represents ADNOC L&S with various national forums, committees, for Emergency Response matters.
- Participates in Delivery of Oil Spill & HNS Response Department related training courses if requested.
- Attends conferences and exhibitions to promote the business, identify business opportunities and keep up to date with new technologies and strategies in OS & HNS.

Requirements

Minimum Qualification

- HND, Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience

Minimum Experience, Knowledge & Skills

- 8 years of experience in Business Development in Oil Spill & HNS Response field.
- Good understanding of general business procedures, including sales and marketing, operations, logistics, Information Technology, human resources, and business financing.
- Demonstrates strong organizational skills, the ability to meet deadlines, and the ability to solve problems.
