Specialist / Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon

Job description / Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Specialist / Consultant Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon to join our prestigious healthcare facility in the UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing expert surgical care to patients with a wide range of oral and maxillofacial conditions, and will play a key role in the development and delivery of high-quality patient care services.

Responsibilities:
- Performing complex surgical procedures on the mouth, jaw, neck, and head, including corrective jaw surgery, facial trauma treatment, dental implant surgery, and reconstructive surgery.
- Diagnosing and treating oral and maxillofacial conditions such as tumors, cysts, infections, and congenital deformities.
- Providing pre-operative and post-operative care to patients, including conducting thorough assessments, developing treatment plans, and monitoring recovery progress.
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care and optimal treatment outcomes.
- Participating in teaching and training activities for medical students, residents, and other healthcare professionals.
- Contributing to the development and implementation of clinical protocols, quality improvement initiatives, and research projects within the department.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date medical records, and adhering to the highest standards of patient confidentiality and ethical practice.

Salary:
AED 45,000 to 95,000 per month inclusive of fixed allowances.

Requirements

- Medical degree
- Specialisation Degree
- Minimum of 3 years of post-certification experience in a reputable healthcare setting, with a proven track record of successful surgical outcomes.
- Demonstrated expertise in performing a wide range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures, with advanced skills in complex reconstructions and facial trauma management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients, families, and colleagues from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Strong commitment to continuous professional development, including participation in relevant conferences, workshops, and research activities.
- Experience in academic and clinical teaching, and a keen interest in contributing to the advancement of the specialty through education and research.
- Proficiency in relevant imaging and diagnostic technologies, and familiarity with electronic medical record systems.
